Ms. Lavette Kaye Domineck enlisted in the United States Army and attended Basic Training at Ft. Jackson, South Carolina.  She also attended Advanced Individual Training (AIT) at Fort Lee, VA where she was permanently stationed. Her designated imminent tour included Operation Iraqi Freedom where she was deployed for almost a year in 2003. After honorably completing her military career, she was a government contractor for 6 years working in Afghanistan, Iraq, Kuwait, Qatar, and Uzbekistan.

Ms. Domineck's significant military accomplishments include the Army Lapel Button; Army Commendendation Medal; National Defense Service Medal; Global War On Terrorism Expeditionary Medal; Global War On Terrorism Service Medal; and the Army Service Ribbon.

Ms. Domineck is an advocate for Veterans as the Lead Assistant Veteran Services Officer for Dallas County. Assisting eligible Veterans and family members in preparing and submitting claims for federal, state, and all other benefits one might be entitled to; she is also accredited by the Department of Veterans Affairs as a Veteran Service Organization (VSO) representative and holds accreditation with the Texas Veterans Commission (TVC) and National Association of Veterans County Service Officers (NAVCSO).

Ms. Domineck currently holds the position as the Women Veterans Coordinator for the Veterans County Service Officers Association of Texas (VCSOAT). She held the position of Secretary for VCSOAT from 2014-2016. She is a member of the National Association of State Women Veteran Coordinators and she received the Outstanding Officer of the Year Award for 2015-2016 (state level) with VCSOAT.

Ms. Domineck graduated from Fordyce High School with an Honors Diploma in Fordyce, AR. She graduated from ITT Technical Institute in Richardson, TX with a Bachelor of ScienceDegree in Program Management and Administration receiving the "Morgan Bodie Award of Excellence" for graduating with the highest honors of her class of 2014. She also graduated from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff in Pine Bluff, AR with a Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Journalism.
