On June 9, 2024, the defendant and his juvenile co-defendant approached the victim at 136 N. Masters in Dallas. The victim was believed to be targeted because of his purple Dodge Charger that was equipped with a “scat pack”. The defendant and his co-defendant opened fire on the victim shooting him seven times. The police learned that the suspect vehicle, a Blue Nissan Rogue, used during the murder was stolen from another individual earlier that same morning and driven around Dallas throughout the day. Additionally, another aggravated robbery was committed a few hours after the Blue Nissan Rogue was stolen. That person’s wallet and phone were taken, and the wallet was later found in the Blue Nissan Rogue. Once that vehicle was found and processed, there were fired cartridge cases that were found in the vehicle that matched fired cartridge cases recovered at the murder location. A few days later, the defendant was at a park in Mesquite where he was eventually apprehended and caught with three firearms, one of which was connected back to the murder on N. Masters. The defendant was interviewed by Det. King with Mesquite Police and admitted to his involvement.
