Glen Fitzmartin - Deputy Administrator, Bureau A
Glen Fitzmartin is the Felony Trial Bureau Chief for the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office. As chief of the trial section, he leads a team of 148 attorneys. Glen oversees multiple divisions including Sexual Assault, Crimes Against Children, Gang, Family Violence, Specialized and Organized Crime.
Glen grew up in Dallas. He received his B.A. from Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama and his J.D. degree from Southern Methodist University, School of Law. He joined the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office in August of 1997 as a misdemeanor prosecutor. After four and a half years and rising to the level of a felony prosecutor Glen, in 2002, left the District Attorney’s Office to start his own law practice focusing on criminal law. In 2006, Glen was appointed Judge of County Criminal Court #3 when the Dallas County Commissioner’s Court appointed him to fulfill the unexpired term of the then vacated judicial seat. In 2007 Glen returned to the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office as a felony prosecutor. While at the office, Glen has tried hundreds of cases and has represented the State of Texas in thousands of cases ranging from misdemeanors to felonies including robberies, sexual assaults, child abuse, family violence, drug cases, burglaries, murders and capital murder where the death penalty was sought and given. While at the office, Glen has served as deputy chief of misdemeanor, a court chief, chief of the Cold Case Unit and most recently as chief of Division A. Glen has been asked on numerous occasions to speak all over Texas on different topics in the field of criminal law including, voir dire, ethics, opening statements and search and seizure.

Kevin Brooks - Deputy Administrator, Bureau B
Kevin Brooks serves as the Deputy Administrator, Bureau B to Criminal District Attorney John Creuzot. As the Deputy Assistant, Mr. Brooks oversees staff in multiple divisions including: Appellate Division, Division 3-Family Violence, Grand Jury & Intake, Records, Restorative Justice, Community Prosecution, Animal Cruelty, Division 4-Specialized Crime, White Collar Crime Unit, Fraud/Checks/JP Unit, and the Elder Abuse Unit.
Mr. Brooks most recently served as the First Assistant and Felony Trial Bureau Chief of the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office. As chief of the trial section, Kevin led a team of 148 attorneys.
Kevin grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana and attended Indiana University for both his undergraduate and juris doctor degrees. Upon graduation, Kevin joined the United States Marine Corps. Kevin was honorably discharged after attaining the rank of Captain. After his military service, Kevin moved to the Dallas area and was licensed to practice law on May 4, 1990.
Kevin has worked extensively in criminal law as both a prosecutor and defense attorney. He has tried hundreds of cases. Kevin utilizes this experience to guide the office in its trial decisions and strategy.

LaQuita Long - Deputy Administrator, Bureau C
LaQuita Long is the Deputy Administrator, Bureau C, overseeing the following divisions: Public Integrity/Civil Rights, Juvenile Division, Sexual Assault Division, and Crimes Against Children. She previously served as Chief of Felony Division E where she supervised felony prosecutors in 7 District Courts.
LaQuita is from Houston, Texas where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Criminal Justice from the University of Houston Downtown Campus. She obtained her J.D. from Thurgood Marshall School of Law on the campus of Texas Southern University in 2005.
While always focusing on the criminal justice system, Mrs. Long has been employed in many law enforcement fields. During her undergraduate studies she worked as a loss prevention associate for Foleys. She also worked as a correctional officer for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. LaQuita moved into the juvenile sector working at Fort Bend County Juvenile Probation department. There she held positions as a drill instructor at their in-home boot camp, a Detention Officer, and a Probation Officer.
After becoming licensed to practice law in 2005, LaQuita joined the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office in the Misdemeanor Division. She has prosecuted cases in the Misdemeanor, Felony, Organized Crime, and State Jail Divisions. She has prosecuted felonies of all types, including robbery, sexual assault, murder and capital murder, and she has worked on two death penalty trial teams. LaQuita was the recipient of the officers’ “Above and Beyond” award in 2011.

Russ Roden - Deputy Administrator, Bureau D
Russell Roden is the Deputy Administrator, Bureau D, overseeing 21 attorneys and 11 staff and other personnel, who provide legal services to the County and its departments and elected officials in the following areas: Civil Division, State/Federal Civil Litigation, Bail Bond Forfeiture, and Civil Asset Forfeiture.
Russell is a life-long resident of Dallas County. He is a former judge of Dallas County Court at Law No. 1, where he presided over civil cases. Prior to joining the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office in January, 2015, Russell was in private practice focusing on civil litigation with a large Dallas law firm. He has also served as an arbitrator, mediator, and court-appointed special judge. He received his B.A. from Austin College in Sherman in 1983 and his J.D. from Texas Tech University School of Law in 1988 where he served as Articles Editor of the Texas Tech Law Review. Following graduation from Texas Tech, Russell served a judicial law clerkship with the Hon. W. Eugene Davis of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
