The juvenile committed a series of serious offenses, including an Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and an Aggravated Robbery, each occurring at separate locations, prior to the capital murder.
After three days of testimony, the Judge returned a True (guilty) verdict, and the court imposed a 40-year-disposition following adjudication in a capital murder case involving a 13-year-old juvenile.
This outcome reflects exemplary legal advocacy, careful case presentation and a steadfast commitment to the administration of justice in an exceptionally complex and sensitive matter.
40 years is the maximum sentence that can be imposed on a juvenile for an offense.

On June 16, 2003, a nine-year-old boy was sexually assaulted by a stranger. He escaped and told his mother who called 911. The case was filed and sat for 22 years while the defendant was on the run.
In 2016, the sexual assault kit was forensically tested resulting in no DNA.
In 2025, after the defendant was finally apprehended, clothing was forensically tested directly linking the victim to the now 51-year-old defendant.
At trial, the victim gave tearful and powerful testimony. The jury came back with a guilty verdict in under 30 minutes and sentenced the defendant to 35 years in prison after deliberating for 10 minutes.
GUILTY and sentenced to 35 years in prison.
State vs. Krista Walker
Theft from an Elderly Person Between $150k and $300k

The State presented evidence that during the course of the defendant’s year-long employment with an elderly business owner, the defendant drained nearly half a million dollars from his retirement account and around $125,000 from his business. Further investigation by the DA’s Office revealed multiple other elderly business owners who had experienced similar thefts at the hands of this defendant.
The defendant pleaded guilty to the offense of Theft from an Elderly Person Between $150k and $300k and went to the Court for punishment.
After hearing from these victims and several other witnesses, the Court sentenced the defendant to 30 years in prison and ordered $415,000 in restitution.
GUILTY plea and sentenced to 30 years in prison + $415,000 in restitution.
State vs. Tiuan Moore
Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon

The victim was stabbed by the defendant at least 60 times on a DART bus at the bust stop for roughly 10 minutes. The offense was on video.
At trial, the defense claimed that the victim brought the attack on herself. The defendant testified that the victim and an unknown man robbed him right before the bus arrived though no such incident was captured on the video, which covered the interior of the bus as well as the view out the windshield. The defendant also testified that he was guilty but only because he took it too far.
GUILTY and sentenced to 24 years in prison.
