FY 2025 FELONY COURT CASE CLEARANCE STATISTICS

On May 1st, 2023, the District Clerk’s felony operations deployed a Windows-based computerized court case management system. The new system, “Odyssey”, completely replaced the mainframe computer system dating to 1976 with operators still using terminals to access information and update criminal court cases. A total of 2,314,823 felony criminal cases as far back as 1968 were converted into the new system. Felony cases are complex with a pendency of two to ten years and errors in the data converted from the mainframe degraded the ability of the clerk to report accurate case activity data using Odyssey.
