DALLAS COUNTY ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE.

THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 22.02 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $29.08.

Q: Who changes the flags?
A: Dallas County replaces all flags (inside each courtroom and outside each county facility). 

Q: Who informs Dallas County to raise/lower the flags?
A: The order comes from the Texas Governor or the County Judge. Security does the lowering and raising at the Downtown and Frank Crowley Complex. Facilities raises/lowers all outlying buildings.
