New Employee Orientation Details

New Employee Orientation is conducted every Monday from 8am to 11:00am in:

The Dallas County Records Building
500 Elm Street
7th floor, Room 7.y17 – the Customer Excellence Training Room
Dallas, TX 75202

This session is mandatory for all new hires (part-time and full-time). During this session you’ll learn about important Dallas County policies and procedures that impact you as an employee, and receive an overview of employee insurance benefits and other programs and perks available to you.

In order for the Human Resources Department to validate parking, New Employees must park in the following lot:

The Dallas County Records Building
500 Elm Street
Dallas, TX 75202

Note 1:  If a holiday falls on a Monday, Orientation will be held on the Tuesday after the holiday. For example:

  • Labor Day – Monday, September 2, 2024; therefore, Orientation will be held on Tuesday, September 3rd.

Note 2:  If you have an employee that is going from part-time to full-time, they will need to attend the Benefits Presentation which begins at 10:15am (Records Building parking will be validated).

The required dress code for the New Employee Orientation is business professional.

 

 

Items to Bring to New Employee Orientation

  1. Employment Eligibility Verification (I-9) Form
  2. Whistleblower Form - Notification of Employee Protections
  3. Title VI Acknowledgement Form
  4. Dallas County Employee Acknowledgement Form
  5. Identification documents for completion of the I-9 form*

  6. Employee Access Form (to take to the Badging Office)

*Federal law requires that you must present original documents. Photocopies are not acceptable. The only exception is that you may present a certified copy of your birth certificate.
