Need Help Meeting Basic Needs Due to a Disability?

We provide temporary financial and supportive services for individuals and families.

Financial Assistance May Include:

• Rent or Mortgage Support
• Utility Bill Assistance
• Food Assistance
• Transportation Support

Basic Eligibility Requirements:

• U.S. Citizen or Legal Status
• Dallas County Resident
• 18 Years or Older
• Limited Income/Resources
• Disabled (must show medical documentation)
• Not receiving housing assistance (e.g., Section 8)

Required Documentation (Bring to Your Appointment):

• Government-issued Photo ID or Driver’s License
• Social Security Cards (for all household members)
• Medical Statement (signed by licensed provider within 30 days) – Must include diagnosis, prognosis, and disability dates
• Proof of ALL income (last 30 days): – Pay stubs, VA benefits, worker’s comp, STD/LTD, unemployment
• Proof of Social Security application (if applicable)
• Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal residency
• Bank activity: Checking/Savings/Debit Card printouts
• All utility bills (current)
• Full signed Lease Agreement or current Mortgage Statement
