DALLAS COUNTY ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR'S TAX RATE.

THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 22.02 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $29.08.

Healthy Vending Policy - Designed to increase access to healthy food and beverage options when purchasing items from the vending machine.

Mother-Friendly Workplace Policy - Seeks to reduce barriers to breastfeeding by creating access to worksite lactation spaces and promoting lactation support polices.

Tobacco Free Campus Policy - Aims to reduce second-hand smoke and motivate/help tobacco users quit and prevent initiation of tobacco use by creating a tobacco-free workplace or campus.
