Fish Creek Preserve
Grand Prairie, Texas, 37 Acres
Entrances: | South side of Crossland Boulevard at Coronado |
Mapsco: | 61, Section "R" |
Preserve Features
At one time, the area along Fish Creek was heavily wooded. Today, this area is populated with residential and commercial development, thus making this 37-acre preserve one of the last examples of the dense woods that once characterized this area.
Preserve History
Fish Creek Preserve was the first preserve in the County system to have a picnic pavilion, benches, tables, biclycle racks, and a hard-surface trail. Such amenities have now become the standard for the County's other preserves.
Preserve Amenities
The preserve provides visitors with an attractive picnic pavilion, tables, benches, grills, a 2/5-mile hard surface trail, bicycle racks, concrete parking, and a natural surface trail.
Maintenance
Fish Creek Preserve is maintained by the City of Grand Prairie. To report maintenance issues, please call the City of Grand Prairie Parks and Recreation Department at (972) 237-8100.
Restricted Uses
Hunting and the use of alcohol, horses, motorized vehicles, fireworks, and weapons are not permitted within the Preserve.
