Post Oak Preserve
Preserve Overview:
Post Oak Preserve is a 334.7-acre heavily wooded preserve located in Seagoville.
The Dallas Independent School District (DISD) manages the Preserve and uses it as an outdoor classroom as part of its Environmental Education Center which is located across the road from the Preserve. The Preserve serves 20,000 DISD students per year.

The preserve features a large forest and a network of both paved and soft-surface trails that lead to Hidden Lake.

Preserve History:
Post Oak Preserve was acquired in 1993. It is one of the last large stands of Post Oak Savannah which once stretched through this part of Dallas County.

Post Oak Preserve is maintained by DISD. To report maintenance issues, please call the District's Environmental Education Center at (972) 749-6900.
