Muddy Creek Preserve


Preserve Overview:

Muddy Creek Preserve is a 185.1-acre preserve located in Wylie and Sachse. The preserve is split into two sections by Pleasant Valley Road. The northern section (5351 Pleasant Valley Road) is maintained by the City of Wylie, while the southern section is maintained by our management partner the City of Sachse.

6:00 a.m. to 12:01 a.m.

South Section in Sachse:
Weeknights: 6:00 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Weekends: 6:00 a.m. to 12:01 a.m.

Preserve Features:

Both sections of this preserve feature a paved loop trail through a mature hardwood forest. There are picnic tables and benches along the rails. There are four ponds, Muddy Creek, and one tributary that flows southeast into Muddy Creek.

Muddy Creek Preserve was acquired in 1996.

Preserve Rules and Maintenance:

Muddy Creek Preserve is maintained by the City of Sachse (south section) and the City of Wylie (north section). Their park regulations, including hours of operation, apply at this preserve. Learn more about Sachse park ordinances and Wylie park ordinances by following the respective links.
