Preserve Features

This Preserve contains one of the last large stands of Post Oak Savannah which once stretched through this part of the County as well as a large pond.

The Dallas Independent School District (DISD) manages the Preserve and uses it as an outdoor classroom as part of its Environmental Education Center which is located across the road from the Preserve. Visitors are welcomed to listen to lectures that are being conducted at the Preserve.

Preserve Amenities

The Preserve offers 2.75 miles of natural surface trails, educational signage, multiple benches, and paved parking.

Maintenance

Post Oak Preserve is managed by DISD. To report maintenance issues, please call the District's Environmental Education Center at (972) 749-6900.

Restricted Uses

Hunting and the use of alcohol, motorized vehicles, horses, fireworks, or weapons are not permitted within the Preserve.
